Hopkins Nursing for Haiti

Beth_in_haiti

In response to requests from alumni, faculty, and other friends of Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing (JHUSON), we would like to present a secure and easy way to give in support of our Haiti-related endeavors. Many associated with JHUSON are aware of both the great needs of Haiti at this time and also the ongoing commitment of the JHUSON to Haiti.

Over the past 10 years, there have been more than 100 faculty and students who have gone to Haiti for rich clinical practice experience, research, and nursing service. Once again this year, a group of nursing students will travel to Haiti as part of their Community Public Health Nursing training.

Our students gain valuable experience as they participate in a community-based maternal child care program and related clinical programs. They deliver health education to youth, mothers, and staff on a range of topics and provide medical relief and outreach in rural villages. You can help by making a secure credit card donation to support the travel, education, research and service of these students and faculty who will travel to Haiti.  You will receive a tax receipt for your tax-deductible gift.  Just click the Give Now button!

If you prefer to donate by check, please make your check payable to Johns Hopkins School of Nursing and write "Haiti Community Health Nursing" on the memo line and mail to the following address:

Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing
Development Office, SON House
525 N. Wolfe Street
Baltimore, MD 21205

We are grateful for the ongoing support of the JHUSON community--administration, students, faculty, staff, and alumni, as well as family and friends.

Thank you so much for caring!
